The introduction of the Four Winns 315 Vista in 1988 was a big
step for a company whose reputation had previously been made
in the trailerable-boat business. She was a conventional midcabin
boat with sterndrive power and an abundance of the hull graphics
so popular in the late 1980s. A popular model, in 1991 Four Winns
brought out the 325 Express that was identical to 315 but with
inboard power—another Four Winns first—in a slightly lengthened
hull with prop pockets. Both the 315 and 325 were heavily built on
a maxi-beam hull with relatively high freeboard, cored hullsides
and a solid fiberglass bottom. Both boats shared identical midcabin
interiors with double berths fore and aft, a convertible dinette
(note that two different dinette configurations were available), a
full galley and a compact head. Topside, the cockpits of the 315
and 325 are very similar with bench seating at the stern and an
L-shaped lounge opposite the helm.
