Carver began in the boatbuilding business in the late 1950s with a line of small wood runabouts built in Pulaski, WI. Carver gradually offered larger and larger boats, making the move from wood to fiberglass in the late 1960s and early 1970s. By the 1980s Carver had grown to be a major contender in the fiberglass boat market of affordable family cruisers, sport boats, and motor yachts nationwide. Carver is now recognized as a leader in the Motor Yacht and Cruiser segments.
