The Hunter Legend 40 was first introduced in 1984 and continued in production until 1990. Haida Legend is one of the last of the series built and is a solid, fast cruiser in very good condition and has only seen fresh water. Construction is typical of other large Hunter models with a well laid up solid fiberglass hull with no coring and a cored fiberglass deck.  For a family with the intent of local cruising or going South and beyond, the large private aft stateroom with a large center island double bed and good storage combined with the large private v-berth in the bow is an ideal solution that leaves the central main cabin available for all and serves as a good safe nest for the kids or grandkids. Both private staterooms have their own heads with showers. This is just about perfect for a good cruiser. Haida Legend has enjoyed many years of excellent care from her competent and perfectionist owners.

Additionally, the vessel has had her bottom renewed and the hull has been aqua buffed to a great shine.  The hull was stripped, the keel rustproofed everything below the waterline was epoxy coated in 2012 prior to new antifouling being applied. Recent upgrades include: navigation instruments and radar (2012), new heads and hoses (2013), new starter batteries (2013), Force 10  triple burner propane range with oven and remote gas alarm and control (2014), 2 new house batteries (2014) complement the original 2, all lights converted to LED (2014), sails cleaned and reconditioned (2014), heavy duty alternator with Balmar serpentine belt kit (2014), new refrigerator and freezer (2016).  The Yanmar 44 hp diesel is in excellent condition and ready to take you on any adventure.
